Afro-Colombian AFRODES activist, Bernardo Cuero Bravo, aged 62, killed by racists on Jun 7, 2017 in Malambo, Atlantico, colombia

On 7 June 2017 in Malambo, black Colombian rights defender Bernardo Cuero Bravo fell, killed by pistol shots fired at him by racists. This peaceful man was doing nothing more than legally fighting for the rights of Afro-Colombians. His alleged killers, Victor Carlos Meriño Pereira, Humberto Luis Hernández Estrada, alias El Pollo, and Duván Piñeres Rubio were identified by the police and brought to justice. However, the Colombian justice system, which does not favour the emancipation rights of Afro-Colombians either, has used all possible tricks to ensure that none of the three men is punished. At the time of writing, we learn that the main alleged perpetrator, Victor Carlos Meriño Pereira, has simply been released! The Colombian government must take immediate action to prevent the recurrence of these acts of impunity, as there can be no real social peace as long as the rights of Afro-Colombians are violated with impunity and Afro-Colombian representatives are killed without justice being served on their killers.

According to the AFRODES association as reported by Adia News, and by Telesur Bernardo Cuero Bravo was shot in front of his family as he watched a local league soccer game. "Two men arrived on a black motorcycle while he watched a soccer game to ask if they rented apartments in the area, when Bernardo approached them to attend to the men, one of them pulled a weapon and killed him in the presence of his partner and other relatives, and then fled the place," the statement said.

Harvey Means, a 15-year-old Afro-American teenager killed by 62-year-old white racist who claims to have cleared the street of another peace of trash on November 21, 2016 in Charleston, West Virginia, USA

Bernardo was defending afro-descendant victims of the armed conflict in Colombia. He was receiving constant threats for his human rights community work with Afro-Descendants in Colombia. A few years ago, Bernardo survived an attempt on his life and his case was submitted to the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights, which advised the Colombian government to increase security for him and other AFREDES members. AFRODES said that both Bernardo and and the organization had requested police protection and other protection measures due to the multiple threats and attacks received.
The protection measures gave to him years ago, a vest and a cell phone. But those objects were later withdrawn by the police, alleging that he no longer faced unordinary danger. Now, he is dead. Killed by racists.

Trayvon Martin, a 17-year-old Afro-American, was shot dead by George Zimmerman, a white racist on February 26, 2012 in Sanford Florida USA

The colombian government must give police protection to those activists whose life are in danger and they must solve the racial problems Afro-Colombian are facing. Afro-Colombian are very patient people. They have been waiting for to long to get the racial problems they face be addressed seriously by the government. They are still waiting, but nothing is happening. The government and all Colombians of good will must be aware of one fact. Afro-Colombians cannot cannot wait eternally! It should be reminded that 41 activists of afro-colombians rights were murdered in Colombia in the first four months of 2017 alone!

If we know that there are black people who live only for the fight for black civil rights, we also know that there are white people who go even further: they are ready to die for this fight.

Together, let's stand up against those who kill black people for the simple reason that they are black!

Martin Luther King Jr., afro-american civil rights activist killed by James Earl Ray, a white racist on april 4, 1968 in Memphis, Tennessee, USA

Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated on 4 April 1968 by James Earl Ray in Memphis, Tennessee. His crime? He was fighting for equal civil rights for blacks and whites. Were his goals really that bad? Yes, for a certain fraction of whites. And that fraction has been growing ever since. The proof? Since then, nothing has changed: more than ever, blacks are brutally discriminated against, mistreated, intimidated, murdered. Why has nothing changed? Because traitors on all sides (black and white) infiltrate any struggle of black people for equality and bring things down. To achieve their goals, blacks should think of several parallel strategies and be more vigilant than ever, otherwise they will soon go down in history as a people disappeared from the Earth.
Many people on earth must have heard or know about Dr Martin Luther King Jr, that famous civil rights activist born on January 15, 1929, in Atlanta, Georgia. Whe just quote here what some of what wikipedia ...
